Peter Allinson is the founder and director of Whirligig Toys Limited who have six retail branches in the South East. Specialising in ‘things to make and do’, the shops are full of toys, games and crafting projects that really engage children. His role in the business is Chief Toy Researcher and he prides himself on being able to talk about all the toys he stocks in great detail. A former primary school teacher and project manager, Peter is passionate about toys that are well designed, have a high level of play value and are fun to play. When not working, Peter can be found playing the bassoon in an orchestra, walking on the South Downs or writing novels.
