Matt Simpson, owner of indie card shop The Letter Arty in Manchester and creator of Choose Cards. With a background in television and graphic design, Matt has been selling cards online for over 8 years, and opened his first physical retail store in a converted shipping container in 2023. As a gay man whose teenage years were in the late eighties and early nineties, I know how isolating it can feel not seeing anyone like yourself represented in the world around you, but also how validating and amazing it can feel when that representation does occur. The greeting card industry is full of supportive and caring people and I hope that with Cards for All we can channel that care and support to ensure that everyone can feel a part of the important celebrations and occasions that cards represent.
