Aceville launches activity one-stop-shop ‘Create Cook Do’

Aceville Publications has launched ‘Create Cook Do’, an online platform designed to deliver free at-home entertainment at the touch of a button, packed full of content from the publishing group's extensive array of lifestyle and craft brands.

With the rise of searching for instructional videos*, lockdown has created a huge demand for accessible, on-demand entertainment – especially assets that are immediately available at the tap of a tablet or mobile phone.

Working with experts from across Aceville’s titles, including ‘Let’s Knit’, ‘Grow Your Own’ and ‘Health & Wellbeing’, the special interest publishers have created an online ideas hub, featuring free how-to projects and downloadable resources to reinvigorate downtime. Covering recipes, gardening, craft, home exercise and mindfulness, users will find everything from easy projects to craft with kids and veg-growing guides, to home workout plans, DIY beauty recipes and mindfulness rituals.

Create Cook Do has also launched a weekly newsletter, where users can sign up at any time and receive seven activities every week for six weeks, straight to their inbox, as a constant source of inspiration.

Natalie Osborn, Head of Editorial (Lifestyle) at Aceville Publications, said: “It's more important than ever that we find joy in the little things, so with the launch of Create Cook Do, we want to inspire our audience on a weekly basis, with a range of activities they can master.

“Working with Aceville’s abundance of experts we have collated a wealth of tutorials, from quick crafting projects and easy mindfulness how-tos, to beauty DIYs and fun home workouts - it’s the full nine-yards of boredom-busting content. So whether our users are looking to refresh some skills, or need a quick activity for the kids, Create Cook Do is a one-stop-shop of free activity ideas for the whole family.”

Special interest publisher Aceville Publications, part of the DC Thomson Media family, produces consumer brands spanning craft and gardening, to health and food. Create Cook Do is the latest addition to their already strong portfolio, catering for this increasingly growing market.
